Our management is committed to operating the business in a transparent and open manner consistent with the regulatory obligations defined by the Central Bank of Kenya in PROCEEDS OF: CRIME AND ANTI-MONEY LAUNDER 9 OF 2009, PROCEEDS OF CRIME AND ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING REGULATIONS, 2013, THE MONEY REMMITTANCE REGULATION, 2013 etc.
TMT has a comprehensive and robust compliance, and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism finance programs used throughout its global network, Ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations. Its network and associates are fully licensed, regulated and supervised by the relevant authorities in every jurisdiction we operate.
Some of the controls put in place by the institution include;
• Verifying the identity of customers, and agents and obtaining additional ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) information as appropriate.
• Monitoring of customer transactions for activity that may be linked to money laundering or financing of terrorism.
• Procedures for the reporting of suspicious customer activity to Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) internally and externally to relevant law enforcement bodies.
• Maintaining appropriate records of customer identification and transactions.
• Following updates and reports issued by local and international agencies.
